Here's a simple, refreshing smoothie recipe loaded with a small portion of vitamins. It contains the most common products: carrots, green apple, and orange. They perfectly harmonize and together create a bright, rich flavor. And the base in the form of freshly squeezed orange juice makes the drink more nourishing and refreshing (especially if you add ice).
Wash the carrot, apple and orange. Peel them (and remove the core from the apple) and cut them into small pieces. It is better to slice the orange with your hands as cutting it will drain the juice (and we need that in the smoothie).
Place sliced carrot, apple and orange in blender jug. Add orange juice. If desired, add ice and honey (for extra sweetness).
Blend until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more juice or water.
Pour into glass and serve immediately. Garnish with an apple or orange slice. Enjoy!
Carrots are a great source of beta-carotene. It's used to make vitamin A, which supports healthy skin, vision, and the immune system. Carrots also contain antioxidants and vitamins K and B6 (in small amounts), which promote bone and nervous system health.
Apples are a good source of dietary fiber (fiber), which helps control blood sugar levels and keep the digestive system healthy. They are also a great source of vitamin C and potassium.
Oranges are a good source of vitamin C, which helps the immune system and fights infections. They also contain potassium, which is important for maintaining normal blood pressure, and folic acid, which is essential for healthy body cells and tissues.
