Ingredients

Cooking Instructions

  1. Brew green tea leaves with a few mint leaves in hot water (85-95°C / 185-200°F). Let steep and cool.

  2. Remove the seeds from the watermelon flesh. Freeze a small portion in advance and puree the rest in a blender.

  3. Make a sugar syrup. In a saucepan, mix water and sugar in a 1 to 1 ratio (I used 3 teaspoons of water and sugar). Cook over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved, then let the syrup cool. For extra flavor, you can add a few mint leaves to the syrup while it is cooking.

  4. Begin to build the drink in a tall glass. Add the ice, chilled green tea, and sugar syrup. Using a bar spoon, spoon the watermelon puree over the top. Garnish with mint leaves and frozen watermelon (cut into small cubes).

Serve with a wide straw and a long spoon. Enjoy!
